Fire Destroys Bolivar Building
The Baldwin Forest Products main building in Bolivar burned Wednesday morning.
The fire gutted the building.
Multiple fire departments battled the blaze.
No injuries were reported.

Cattaragus Woman charged With Harassment A Cattaraugus woman was arrested Wednesday night on a warrant for a harassment charge.
Cattaraugus County Sheriff Deputies apprehended 31 year-old Tamra Marshall at her home on Linlyco Road.
Marshall was issued an appearance ticket to New Albion Town Court.

Pileup in Cameron County Sends Five to Hospital
A four vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon on Route 120 in Cameron County.
Five people were taken to area hospitals for treatment of injuries.
State Police say that a car, operated by 16 year-old Sara Heverly of Emporium ran into three vehicles which were stopped for a school bus on Route 120 in Shippen Township.
Three of the four drivers, including Heverly, 40 year-old Paula Tamburlin and 47 year-old John Cappiello of St. Marys were injured in the pile-up.

Girl Injured After Fall at Willow Bay Paramedics responded to a fall at Willow Bay Wednesday afternoon.
Corydon Township Fire Department Assistant Chief Matt Cobb says an unidentified girl was swinging from a rope and fell into shallow water breaking her leg.
The girl was removed from the water by boat and flown to an out of town hospital for treatment of injuries.

olean's Skate Park Closed
The skate park at the William O. Smith Recreation Center in Olean is closed for a few days after vandals stole several ramps and equipment.
Olean Mayor Linda Witte and city aldermen will visit the park and offer recommendations for its future.
Witte says vandals gained acess to the park by rolling up the bottom of the chain-link fence.
The park must be cleaned and repaired before it can be reopened.
Earlier this summer the park was closed after garbage and furniture were dumped there.

Bradford Man Charged in Burglary
A Bradford man has been charged with burglary at a Bradford Township home.
Court records indicate that 24 year-old Darren Cruz, entered the residence of Michael Steinhauser on June 28 and took a weed-eater, hedge trimmer, money and checks.
Cruz is facing theft and trespassing charges and is jailed on $35,000 bail. August 31, 2010 03:08PM
Judge Rules in Favor of Senecas A federal judge has ruled in favor of the Seneca Nation by issuing a temporary restraining order that blocks New York State’s attempts to collect taxes from them for 14 days.
Yesterday, a state Supreme Court Judge lifted an injunction that kept New York from collecting the taxes, which they said they intended to start collecting tomorrow.
After the judge’s ruling yesterday, the Seneca Tribal Council voted to stop making payments to the state from its casino slots revenues.
The slots revenues add up to about $700 million. The state expects to collect $200 million from the cigarette taxes.

Air Quality Alert Today
The New York State DEC has issued an Air Quality Alert for Cattaraugus and Chautuaqua Counties thru 11pm tonight.
Air quality levels will be higher than the air quality index of 100.
This means that people with asthma and other respiratory ailments should limit their outdoor activity.

Cattaraugus Police Chief Charged
The Village of Cattaraugus Police Chief Donald Veith has been charged with leaving harassing phone messages for a local minister.
Cattaraugus County District Attorney Lori Rieman says Veith has been charged with harassment after leaving multiple threatening phone calls at the home of a local minister whom he accused of having stolen property at his home in Cattaraugus.
Chief Veith was issued an appearance for September on the charges.

Two Irving Women Charged After Fight
Two Irving women were charged with harassment after an incident Monday night at the Perrysburg Community Center.
Cattaraugus County Sheriff Deputies say that 26 year-old Devin Renaldo and 23 year-old Abigail Renaldo fought with several people at a gathering.
The two were issued appearance tickets to Perrysburg Town Court.
