Josh Tomlin got the win for the Tribe allowing three runs on seven hits.
Cleveland snapped a four game skid with the win.
The Mets beat the Braves 4-2.
David Wright hit a solo home run.
Johan Santana got the win allowing on one run and three hits.
Santana left the game in the fifth with a strained pectoral muscle.
With the win the Mets avoid a four game sweep to the Braves.

The high school football season opens tonight on both sides of the border.
The Bradford Owls entertain the Olean Huskies at 7pm at Parkway Field.
Owls pregame on the air at 6:45pm on 1490 WESB, WESB.com and 100.1 The Hero.
It's the 113th meeting in the Olean – Bradford series.

Drayton Florence's 40 yard interception return for touchdown in the first quarter was the highlight for the Bills.
Trent Edwards went 4 for 4 for 66 yards in a short appearance.
Brian Brohm was 7 of 15 for 78 yards and an interception.
The Bills finish the preseason at 2-2. September 03, 2010 05:09 Steelers Win; Lose Leftwich The Steelers dumped the Panthers Thursday night 19-3 on WESB.
Steelers quarterback Byron Leftwich, who would be the opening day quarterback with Ben Roethlisberger's suspension, sprained his left knee in the second quarter.
Leftwich will have an MRI, but is out indefinitely.
That leaves third stringer Dennis Dixon as the likely starting quarterback for the September 12 opener against Atlanta Falcons.
Back to the game, Dixon did throw a 23 yard touchdown pass and led the Steelers on a pair of field goal drives.
The Steeelrs finish the preseason at 3-1.
